Things to do in Seattle

I started compiling this email for folks at the office looking for things to do in Seattle and thought I’d turn it into a quick blog post instead…

Places to hang, do lunch, walk-about, etc.

1. Pike Place Market

2. Alki Beach

3. Olympic Sculpture Park

4. Gasworks Park

5. Local Hikes

Places to go:

1. Seattle Aquarium (Disclosure: I’m a volunteer diver here).

photo650 Front tank feeding is @ 11:15a, Octopus @ 12p, Underwater Dome @ 1:30p, Sea Otters/Seals @ 2p

2. Science Center (@ the Seattle Center)

3. Woodland Park Zoo

4. Duck Tours

5. Seattle Underground Tour

6. Museum of Glass [Tacoma]

7. Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium [Tacoma]

Things to learn together:

1. Scuba Diving (@ Underwater Sports) Disclosure: I’m also a dive instructor for kicks on the side.

2. Kayaking

3. Sailing

4. Sculling (Crew Boats)

5. Martial Arts @ MKG

6. Wade’s Shooting Range [Bellevue] (.22 LR is cheap and fun to shoot; should have safety training first)

Things to remember (for Microsofties)

1. PRIME Card Attractions / Discounts

I compiled this from what I like to do, but a quick Google Bing, brought me up to a number of other resources:

Discover Scuba Class with Aja

What a fun time today. Robbie and I had Aja in the pool doing a Discover Scuba. She has a beautiful smile and her laugh is infectious… I’d say she had a great time and I know Jenn, Rob and I did watching her.

Snowball Fight!

Sometimes you're friends just need to be covered in now... if you're lucky it's you and three other great friends pummeling the fifth friend (as in this case).

I'm not always the lucky one... but getting Erik for this photo was sure fun.

Windows Live Photo Gallery Rocks!

I just look taking in the big picture...

Many times it's so large you can't imagine capturing it on film... but now you can.

You just need to take a bunch of photos in series (I forgot to take all the side areas more carefully in the posted example).

But it's still super gorgeous!

Use Windows Live Photo Gallery, get it here.

Highlight all the photos you've taken in series, click Make > Create panoramic photo...

I love bumps

Sometimes a look back to where you've been is fun...
